Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company has acquired Soliton to complement their body contouring portfolio.

Soliton is developing breakthrough acoustic shockwave technology to address multiple multibillion-dollar market opportunities. Our 510k including clinical trial results and device testing was recently cleared by the FDA for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite; the device is not yet available for sale.

Our clinically proven Rapid Acoustic Pulse (RAP) device uses proprietary acoustic shockwaves to dramatically accelerate the removal of black ink tattoos as an accessory to a laser and temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite. For information on other conditions we are targeting with our technology, see the INVESTOR section of our website.

We are science-driven and led by executives and medical advisors from some of the world’s most successful aesthetic and medical device companies.  Let us show you our plans to revolutionize the aesthetics industry.

Over 70 million Americans have at least one tattoo…and over half of them are considering a removal.

But to the vast majority, the current method of removal is simply unacceptable. The current gold standard of care, short pulse laser removal alone, is long, expensive, painful, and often delivers inconsistent results.

Removing a typical tattoo with these current methods can take 10 or more office visits and 1 to 2 years to complete.  Multiple clinical trials have demonstrated the ability of Soliton RAP technology to safely and dramatically reduce the number of treatments and time required to remove a tattoo and in the most recent clinical trial, 100% of these patients achieved complete removal in just 2 or 3 office visits.

An estimated 80-90% of women suffer from cellulite. A significant percentage of those women are motivated to do something about as indicated by the $4 Billion estimated future global market.

Existing treatment options currently available are either surgical in nature and therefore have real side effects and significant downtime or require on average 4-6 treatments to reach the optimal results which then have a temporary effect.

Over time, septa that join the dermis to the muscle layer in the body can become sclerotic (or hardened) and pull down through the fat layer causing the dimples and ridges in cellulite.  Soliton’s RAP technology is able to physically affect these bands without breaking the skin ultimately improving the appearance of cellulite.

The term ‘subcision’ normally refers to a surgical procedure used to sever the fibrotic septa using a blade, punctured through the skin, in order to allow the dimpled skin associated with cellulite to return to a flatter, smoother state. This procedure is typically painful enough that anesthesia is required. Futhermore, this surgical procedure can result in extensive bruising, bleeding or post-treatment discomfort and downtime.   Our RAP technology generates a similar effect without ever breaking the skin.  What’s more, the procedure requires no anesthesia and importantly, as seen in our clinical trial, there should be no bruising, bleeding or post-treatment discomfort or downtime.

For Clinicians

Soliton’s technology is science-driven, supported by extensive preclinical and clinical research.

We have spent more than $50 million over the last 7 years understanding the extracellular matrix of the skin and the biomechanics of tattoos and cellulite.  We understand that your reputation is at stake when you choose to partner with a new technology and that safety and efficacy are paramount to you.

For Tattoo Removal
In order for tattoo removal to become an attractive and growing part of your practice, you need to be able to offer faster, more predictable outcomes at an affordable price. Our research has resulted in a breakthrough discovery of what limits the efficacy of lasers in tattoo removal. The Soliton Multi-Pass treatment protocol combines your existing short-pulse laser with our RAP (Rapid Acoustic Pulse) Device, facilitating multiple Laser and Soliton treatments in a single treatment session to rapidly accelerate tattoo fading.  A tattoo that would normally require 10 or more treatment sessions over a period of 1-2 years may now be removed in just 2-3 treatment sessions.

For Cellulite
The RAP device is capable of selective disruption of the fibrotic septa that contribute to the appearance of cellulite. Our RAP technology  is able to physically effect these fibrous septa without breaking the skin.  With strong patient satisfaction in a single non-invasive procedure, this represents a new way to treat cellulite and improve the appearance of the skin.

Our Technology

The combination of non-focused, very short rise-time, acoustic shock waves delivered at very high repetition rates required the creation of an entirely new acoustic technology, resulting in over 100 patent filed or granted applications from our team of scientists and engineers.

For Tattoo Removal:
Our acoustic waves deliver a treatment that is easily tolerated, generates no heat or collateral tissue damage, and works without regard to tattoo color.  Laser efficacy is enhanced, allowing for multiple immediate laser passes in the same treatment session thus reducing the number of patient visits required to achieve removal.

For Cellulite Reduction:
Our acoustic waves deliver a treatment that is well tolerated, generates no heat or collateral tissue damage, requires no patient downtime or anesthesia, and works without regard to patient skin color.
